Language Lessons is a great read with a lot of heart and leaves you feeling all warm and fuzzy by the end. The character of Joey whilst at first is not very likeable, by the end of the story will endear himself to even the most cold-hearted reader. Yet again another great gay novel by Jay Bell. It's an easy read and very satisfying. My only complaint is that I wish it was longer and we learned more about the characters.
John Lucke's Seduction of a Straight Man is an entertaining and often ribald story of a man's sexual awakening. The booked is filled with hot male/male sex scenes with impossibly sexy and well hung men. The book is a page-turner however as the adventures get more incredible. This first book of the series is a great introduction to the series and certainly leaves you wanting to continue reading the series.
Jay Bell is one of the finest authors of modern gay fiction. Kamikaze Boys features his two best characters to date Connor and David.
This coming-of-age and coming-out story is set in a Kansas high school. Two loners are drawn together and realise they share the same thing, they are both gay. They embark on a relationship that causes a lot of grief for those around them. They need to overcome some major hurdles if they want to be together.
The book covers common issues like bullying, homophobia, and questionable parenting.
Despite it's teen setting this novel is able to be enjoyed by readers of all ages.
You'll find it page turning and will be very hard to put down once you've begun.
This is a must read for anyone who has ever been in love, or would like to be in love.
5/5 Mr Bell, can't wait for your next one.
