Biography
Sulaiman Dawood is an engineering student with a keen interest in psychology, law and medicine. Apart from teaching, Sulaiman works as a human rights activist to promote racial harmony. He fights actively against sexual abuse and suicide in the socially suppressive atmosphere of Pakistan, which lacks ground in terms of mental health awareness.
Born in Karachi and raised among a family of teachers, language has always been one of his greatest assets. He started writing at a very young age, have written numerous poems and articles, mostly on social issues and mental health problems.
He is also the first person to develop FUSED – First Urdu Speech Emotion Database, which uses statistical analysis of pitch and intensity in sound waves to represents a set of threshold values for basic emotions elicited in spoken Urdu.
Sulaiman lives in Karachi with a Persian cat and two rabbits. He loves travelling and spends his free time watching anime and playing video games - mostly ‘League of Legends.’
