Tobias Alexander travelled the world as a tourist and professional tattoo artist for twelve years. He has survived biker turf wars, Cambodian speed boat accidents, Tibetan border bus crashes and has carried the idea of Thomas Cruel through all of them. In his spare time between the east coast of Australia and beautiful British Columbia, Canada, he decided to write.
With an ever-present interest in man’s relationship with the environment and the dichotomy of science and religion, he has drawn upon a love of westerns, anime and Spielbergian cinema to create a story that seeks to entertain and provoke. The life of Thomas Cruel is an ongoing saga that examines the big questions. The Beautiful Dance is where it all begins and is the author’s debut novel.
The Beautiful Dance is a tale of vibrant characters and their stories, the glory and brutality of the new land, and the wonder and trepidation of an uncertain future. It is an adventure that explores what it means to exist in a changing world of science and technology, its effect on us, and how one mind can make a difference.
