This is a wonderful story. I was not expecting a zombie story to be so emitoinal but this one made me cry. You can not help but to feel the pain of the preist for his flock and for the Nun for the love of her preist and her religion. This is a wonderful story for someone who has not read a zombie story and wants to start and this is one of the best for zombie lovers everywhere.
  • Chocolate-Covered Eyes: A Sampler Of Horror on Jan. 31, 2012

I love horror, always have and I just want you to know that if you are thinking about getting this book you will not be disappointed. There is something in Chocolate-Covered Eyes: A Sampler Of Horror for everyone. Each story is amazingly diffrent and as fun to read as the one before. Very well written where the stories just flow from the page.
  • Feed on Feb. 01, 2012

This is a truely amazing and passionate vampire story. For me this book touched emotions that I never thought I would have for vampires. From the beging you can feel the pain that the characters feel for what they have to do to survive and the hate that they feel for what they are. I really enjoyed the way this story was written and the way you are able to get to know the characters in the book.
  • Lie Canthropy on Feb. 01, 2012

Wonderfully written story about a town and it's people who have a lot to bear. Characters that you will love, hate and be curious about. Highly recommended read for lovers of mystery, horror and the unknown.
  • Creep on Feb. 02, 2012

If you like stories of revenge and hatred with a little bit of regurgitation thrown in for good measure, this story is for you. There is action in this horror from the first page all the way through until the final sentence. This is also one of the stories where you want to feel bad for the thing doing the killing. I think this is one of those few stories where you want just the right kind of people to read it and have to spend a while looking over their shoulders from the guilt they feel in their heart.
  • Tears of Love on Feb. 05, 2012

Tears of Love is the perfect name for this book. I have never in my life felt emotions so strong as I feel when I read the passionate writings of Jerry McKinney. If you have ever had an older sibling that you looked up to and placed on a pedestal then you know how strong that love can be. This story takes you beyond that feeling of love and into the depths of sorrow in your heart knowing that what Spud has to do will be the hardest thing he will ever have to do in his entire life, and he is just a kid...If you only read 1 vampire story in your whole life it should be this one.
  • Death Bonds on Feb. 05, 2012

If you like stories that leave you feeling like you need a shower after you read it, well here you go. This one has everything you could ever want in a horror. There is just enough background on the main characters to make you want them to be happy. You know something bad is going to happen when you walk into a house and find a dead animal in the flue of the fireplace and you get a dripping of maggots from and from it's mouth from the fireplace to the door. Once again Jerry has used his gift of words to paint pictures in my mind that will last a lifetime. Awesome Read!!
  • Patchouli on Feb. 05, 2012

Stew cannot understand why the smell of the girl next door stirs his hormones the way she does but he is more than willing to get to know her better. • Tick on Feb. 07, 2012

This book takes you through the imagination of Lori R. Lopez in the best of ways. Every story in this book leaves you wanting more and when you finish it you feel a satisfaction in you mind like no other. So many of the stories hold the emotions of this brilliant writer and you can actually feel what the characters feel and see through their eyes. • Takers on March 19, 2012

This is a great read!!!! This short story takes you through what one man endures as the world as he knows it falls apart. Jerry McKinney has a way of writing that takes you right into the story, and with all of his work this is no different. The poor man in this story just wanted a wonderful day with his family and to have some special time with his wife when the day is over but the worms make sure that does not happen. This book will send you on a ride through love, fear and loss. A must read for all.
  • Dance Of The Chupacabras on March 22, 2012

This is a great and fun book. It will hold your attention from beginning to end. Lori has such way of writing like no other. Each and every character in this book will catch your mind and imbed itself there for years to come. The words and descriptions of this book are written in a way that no one else but Lori could pull off. I love her no holds bar writing style every one of her books and stories never cease to amaze me. If you love mythology, adventure and a bit of humor read this book you will not be disappointed. Thank you so much Lori for just being you and letting your true self shine in your books!!!!
  • Fossil on March 26, 2012

This is one of the most amazing stories that have come from the mind of Lori Lopez. This Bone Man is a character that equals a force to be reckoned with. From one mansion that becomes a number of different things in it's years including a sanitarium, but the one thing it really was is a place where murder was always going to happen. When a psychic buys the old place to record and try to contact the poor victims of this evil building he bites off more than he can chew.
  • Bloodpath on April 12, 2012

Lori R. Lopez had done it again!!!! She has blown my mind with another amazing story. Bloodpath takes you through the mystery of the legendary bigfoot and beyond. All Boyd Applegate wanted to do was have some drinks with his buddies to make himself feel better and then drive home. Well the first part of his plan works wonderfully and then everything happens. What is that he just hit? How drunk is he to think that it couldn't be human? This short suspenseful horrific mystery is a wonderful read. And as always Lori is able to help you envision the entire story through her unique and amazing use of words. You can feel the fear of the humans and the anger of the beasts and the sadness for the loss of the lives that are lost in this tale, but I have to say that I have never thought of a path of blood being beautiful until I read them described in this story.
  • Some Thing on May 23, 2012

This short story will be an eery reminder of all of the water warnings from around the globe. What happens when someone does drink the water? Well I will tell you know that it can turn into a nightmare!! You will learn just how scary it can be. Imagine sitting in your home and Something is there with you, you are not sure what it is but for Bash, all he can think is danger and gets his bazooka, yes bazooka. That is all this review will tell you about it, you will have to read to find out, but there is also the lady across the street. With all of the noise in the neighborhood Henna, that lady I mentioned, decides to investigate. Henna is a pistol packing lady with the intention to help her neighbor and keep her neighbor hood safe. This story is awesome. Another Lori Lopez story that is a must read for all
  • The Lycaning on May 25, 2012

I will be the first to admit, and I have many times, I am not a werewolf fan. This story changed that.believe me, this is not the usual werewolf tale. Lori takes this age old monster and makes it her own in the best of ways. Weather a werefan or not you will enjoy the new twist this storyteller has put to paper for our enjoyment. I don't want to give anything away but you will find a bit of love between these e -pages.
  • The Wraith on May 30, 2012

This is such a fun mix of pottery and story put together as only Lori Lopez can. In this story you find a beautiful young girl who has been hurt so badly in the past that as her life gets more lonely her mind starts to break. You cannot help but feel the pain in this girl's heart as you follow her down the path of insanity.
  • Unnatural on July 19, 2012

This is an amazing and fast pace short story written in true Lori R. Lopez style that will leave you hanging on the edge of your seat until the last word. What happens when the one and only place where you feel like you belong has to disband and the only friends you have in the great wide world are lost to you forever? Well in the case of Darius Exavier you end wondering the world not knowing where your head will rest or will your next meal will come from. This story takes you through this young mans sad and lonesome existence as he is looking for a place in this world. The path this young man takes and the things that he has the will to defeat will blow your mind.
  • Thrill of the Hunt on July 19, 2012

This book is very much the erotic thriller that it claims to be. Jeffrey Kosh has a way with words to make this book flow in a very lustful and unexpected way. His descriptions of the human body and the state of mind his characters within these steamy pages will leave you longing to turn the page, and all this why weaving a thriller and a story of the hunter becoming the hunted. Jeffrey has a way of giving more to each of his lead characters. In this book the man is Slade Carver. As you read you find that Slade is more than just the hot and sexy cowboy. He is really just a lost soul in need of rescuing and who is trapped by something, or someone who is more than he ever thought possible. Please keep in mind if you purchase this book that it is an EROTIC THRILLER and in being so does have some very descriptive sexual scenes and sexual suggestions throughout. But as with all of Jeffrey's writing, he writes in a manner where his words allow you to feel the passion and emotion that is taking place in that moment and his words are never disturbing in any way.
  • Spirits and Thought Forms: Tales from Prosperity Glades on Aug. 23, 2012

Once again Jeffrey Kosh gives you a glimpse of how dark his mind can be and how the darkness of Prosperity Glades can find it's own way to imbed itself within the darkest parts of your imagination. In this book you get some background into a dark and fearful world where you can never quite tell who will be taken captive by one of the many spirits that inhabit a small Florida county that has been inhabited by evil for as long as the land has been there. Every story within this book will make you want to learn more about what is happening in Prosperity. What will you believe when you finish reading? Well I'll tell you that you will learn how your own mind can feel the fear and you will be left with a feeling of uneasy. This is not a book for the faint hearted but you don't have to be a hard core horror fan to enjoy it. I will let you know that there are parts of this book that involve children and tackle the taboo subject of child abuse but everything is very tastefully written and nothing in Jeffrey's writing is ever anymore uncomfortable to read than it is intended to be. Every detail is just enough to let you feel the emotion that is happening at that time in the story, weather it be pain, fear, hate, sadness or even pleasure that can take a life of it's own from a woman's lust. A must read book for all horror fans, but I would like to advise that everyone read Feeding The Urge before reading this one to better understand the characters that take a life of their own in both of these books.
  • The Macabre Mind Of Lori R. Lopez: Thirteen Tormentous Tales on Aug. 27, 2012

If you have read anything by Lori you know that she has a wonderful and unique style to her writing that is able to pull you right into the world that her words paint through your imagination. This collection gives you thirteen different worlds!! In my opinion this is a collection of her darkest and most suspenseful work, never too dark but the suspense will have you hanging on the edge of your chair and as your mind gets twisted and twirled throughout each story. There is something in this collection for everyone, you have zombies, creatures, circus freaks, ghosts, big foot, werewolves and more. • An Ill Wind Blows on Nov. 02, 2012

Lori R. Lopez writes this adventure with so heartfelt compassion that this is a book to love. There are so many characters that you get to know throughout this book that it is amazing that she is able to give each one a personality and background. I was brought to tears by so many of their memories and the sadness that they have been through it makes them so real that they seem to jump from the pages right into you mind. Reading this fabulous book is so much like watching a movie that you can get lost in the time that you are reading and before you know it the book is finished. • Six Fright-Mares on Dec. 13, 2012

This is a wonderfully frightening collection of stories. Each story has it's own level of horror and they are so different in subject matter that you cannot put it down once you start, you just have to see what is next. There is something in this book to disturb everyone. You have government takeovers, anger, obsession, madness and murder, there is side show with an unbelievable star who has seen a lot in her life time. You also have OCD and spiders, you know you have to know how this goes together. This all ends with the most disturbing story I have read in a while, Wonder Feed Epidemic. This story not only pulled at my heart strings but turned my stomach as only a truly detailed horror can. If you are looking for a few stories to make your skin crawl and occupy your mind for a while then this book is just what you need.

  • The Fruit Of Thy Womb on Oct. 29, 2013

This story takes you through so many emotions, fear, loss, love, hope and then it puts you right where we all end up, death. The suspense and horror leaves you wanting to read more and keeps the pages turning. All Ziggy ever wanted to was to know the truth. Was he wanted as a child? Did his mother really care? • Jar Baby on Oct. 30, 2013

What a great story! Lori R. Lopez spins a great tale of the Jar Baby. When a man sells the one thing he is supposed to protect to save the lives of his wife and unborn child he know that he has enabled another to unleash hell and the vengeance of the demon on the world. He must stop the actions that he has allowed to be set in to motion. All Alice wants to do is check out this comic store that she heard about. The sells man is a little on the creepy side but little does she know that life is about to throw her into an adventure she would never dream of. Wonderful word flow and outstanding character development.
  • 3-Z on March 31, 2014

The three shorts in this book are so different from one another that it is almost hard to believe that they came from the same mind, but as a fan of this author I can assure you they did. Lori Lopez has a way with her words that puts you right into the stories, just as she does here. In Pound of Flesh I felt the pain and the need of the mother to make sure her daughter was safe while she suffered through pain and fear. Followed by A Big Problem where I learned the most rational people are often the ones lacking common sense and fear. Finally,Knock Knock where love can turn into horror in the blink of an eye. The character learns that love can even find you after death. Great stories and I highly recommend them to anyone who enjoys zombies, horror or even a few quick and gripping reads to help occupy your mind for a bit.
