Talib Zulpilip graduated with a Master of Commerce and Administration degree in 1976 from Victoria University, Wellington, New Zealand. He now resides in Malaysia, in the state of Sarawak which is variously known as the Land of the White Rajahs or Land of Headhunters He is currently the Chairman of Sarawak Economic Development Corporation , a profitable government linked entity . He teaches economics and management part time at various universities in Malaysia. He also presents papers at seminars.
He is married to Zaliha Christine , a research scientist. They have four children, and three little granddaughters Alesha, Amira and Ezrine who keep them entertained.
He also is involved in a number of charities.

This is a story about Charlie, tormented as the Village Idiot. However, his honesty endeared him to his bosses and he climbed the career ladder. He returned triumphantly to his native village as a rich man. The Village Chief was astounded by his success and attributed it to his luck. But it was not luck that was responsible for Charlie's success. The Chief regretted his earlier decision.
