Biography

BIOGRAPHY

Tanya Williams and Cassie Stokes have been friends for 30 years and in that time, have
seen the ups and downs of each other’s lives. When they were teenagers, they decided
they wanted to write a book about Florence, Oregon, which is where they lived at the
time. Life happens, they went on to get married, have children and about 20 years later
the subject came up again about writing a book.
In February 2014 they decided they were going to sit down and do it. They are finally
going to write the book they have always wanted to write. With the support of their
husbands and their families we set on the journey of writing Murder in the Glass House.
It started with a dinner at our favorite restaurant and taking notes.
Since Tanya lives in Terrebonne, Oregon with her husband and five children. Tanya is a
homemaker. Who loves to cook and have fun with her kids and with Cassie lives in
Cashmere, Washington with her husband and cat. She physically disabled due to a nerve
disorder. But the joy of writing has made things so much easier. She also enjoys reading
and cooking.
They knew that their collaboration would be from their twice a year visit to each other
and through the Internet and text messages and phone calls. Cassie is the creative one,
she does most of the writing and comes up with most of the ideas. Tanya is more the
technical person who comes up with ideas. And has the eye for editing, revising and
making sentences flow better.
Here it is a year later and the book they wanted to write 20 years ago and finally decided
to write a year ago is finally finished. They hope it’s the first of many.
Tanya and Cassie and their families enjoy getting together during the summer having
barbecues, going to baseball games, and spending the Fourth of July together. Tanya and
Cassie also likes to take road trips together. This is something they have enjoyed for
many years. Their new found fun is in coming up with ideas for books, and executing it
on paper and coming up with a masterpiece.
