  • Biggun: A Short Story (Zombie Horror) on April 02, 2015

If you're a Walking Dead fan, then you'll want to read this short story from LX Cain. I loved the character, Biggun. And while I was certain I knew where the plot was going, the fresh twist made story even better. Biggun is captivating and terrifying. I'll be looking forward to reading more from this author.
  • The Mission on June 28, 2015

I love Cain’s short horror stories…they pack just the right amount of punch to keep me on the edge of my seat and looking over my shoulder at every sound I hear. In The Mission, two boys go exploring an old, abandoned mission, but from the get go, things go bad. Really bad. Yeah, the place is dark, creepy, and straight out of a horror movie, but that’s nothing compared to the monsters the boys face. The Mission is a guaranteed goosebump-inducing story, and be prepared to be shocked by the twists coming your way. Well done Cain on bringing back the true dread of what horror stories should be like. Kudos.
  • The Inter-Galactic Gourmet on July 20, 2015

L.X. Cain has done it again with her latest short horror – The Inter-Galactic Gourmet. Yep, I’m hooked on her stories and this one was fantastic. Throw together aliens living amongst humans while graving human flesh, and things are bound to get wild. Cynthia has a great sense of humor as she snags herself a meal… or so she thinks. Encountering another alien species wasn’t on the cards, and let’s just say, the outcome is not what she anticipated. Cain offers us a short horror fix drowning in suspense. A must read.
