After achieving a BA (ed) degree at the University of The Northwest, I began my teaching career in Gauteng (Johannesburg) in 1988. I met my teacher husband in the same year and we have been married for thirty wonderful years. We are both fond of children of all ages, and enjoy working with them. I am 50 years old, a keen gardener and an enthusiastic (believe my husband and our friends), successful chef. Chacky and The Chrysoberyl is my first attempt at children's literature, and I am almost finished writing the follow up - 'Nightmare Archipelago'.
The need for change often brings danger. Danger demands a hero - one who is unafraid to do what is necessary to alter the future. Even if such a being must face unbelievably horrifying circumstances which threaten his very existence and the lives of the citizens of his country. He will experience enchantment and terror in one breath. Chacky has been chosen to save and champion Noteland.
