Teresa Friedlander

Every day is a new story in which my life writes itself. There are elements of comedy, tragedy, drama, farce, slapstick, and often absurdity; but never boredom. An analogy for where I started out and where I find myself today might be the miracle of two random cells meeting and joining and creating a completely new human being with both flaws and infinite possibilities, inevitably shaped by outside influences.

Smashwords Interview

What are your five favorite books, and why?
My favorite books are those which do not waste my time or make me feel embarrassed for the writer. "War and Peace" is at the top of that list. "Infinite Jest", by David Foster Wallace, is in the top five.
What do you read for pleasure?
I always have "The New Yorker" magazine around and I seek out fiction and non-fiction works that have something to say about the known world.
