As far as a one act play goes, I think there is great potential. The outline of the characters leaves enough room for each "Dave" to put a spin on thier character. I could easily see it expanded into a full play.

I normally don't read this type but it came across my desk in an email give away for beta readers and...I fell in love with this story and the author's way of retelling an old folklore. If you have never read or heard of this story you are in for a real treat. Even if you have heard of it you will love this retelling. This book is suitable for ages 10 + and would make a perfect read outloud to your children for family time. There is enough action to keep them glued to thier seats and some twists that will keep you guessing. By the time I was 3/4 through I was practically begging the author to write another folklore story, ( who btw is an absolutely wonderful person to chat with). I can't wait for another story by her and look forward to reading more to my grandsons.

First off,it's got mermaids! Who doesn't want to meet a mermaid.secound it has diving, my hearts passion, thirdly and probably most important it's a story put out by Georgina Jeffery. Even if you aren't completely into fantasy stories you will enjoy these. I love her novels of all size. The fairy tales are the perfect size for reading outloud times. Perfect for the 10+ to read for quiet time or those before sleep times. But also great Entertainment for adult readers. As with every fairy tale from the Grimms to Georgina there is a moral to them, but interwoven into the story so not to knock you over the head with it. Her use of words and sentence structure paint a perfect picture without bogging down in the over descriptive text a lot of authors use. These are meant to be short novels, novellas or short story, how ever you call them. For a longer story try her Jack Hansard novels. They are as well written as these. This is her third in the Dark Fairy Tale series, so if you've not read her others, you are missing out. Here's hoping for many more.
