Isis Nezbeth

Isis Nezbeth is a fresh, free-spirited freelance writer and author. She is a proud Twentysomething Scorpio woman who is dedicated to living freely and fulfilling her destiny in life. Her passions include writing, spreading joy, and making love.

If she were stranded on a desert island, she’d need her Keurig, pens, paper, and the Baduizm album to die happily–or to survive until someone rescued her. Her greatest blessings in life are her family because even when she had nothing at all, they still made her rich beyond belief. She enjoys karaoke, spinach and mushroom pizza, and alcoholic beverages.

Her end goal is to write enough to make at least three people change their life, to make a thousand people smile, and to some day afford a city view with the luxury of keeping her brandy in a decanter on the mantel.

Smashwords Interview

What is your writing process?
Hmm, my writing process... well, I don't really have a writing routine, but if I had to sum it up I suppose the first thing would be to get my coffee. I cannot start writing without a fresh cup of coffee. After that I like to pick my mood music, which usually ends up being a collaboration of 50's tunes and Neo Soul. After that, if I don't already have a topic on my heart, I give myself a few minutes to feel a topic and then I let the keyboard have it! That's about it, in a nutshell!
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I am a product of U.S. Army soldiers. Both my mother and father served this country, so as you might imagine, I've done a great deal of moving around both in and out of the country. That on it's own has molded me as an individual and influences the topics I write about. I don't really have a place that I "grew up in" because my family was always being stationed here and there after just a few years. Nonetheless, I didn't let that get me down. Moving around a lot has helped me to become a very contagious spirit. It's easy for me to adapt to new places and new situations. It's taught me to be grateful for the things I have presently and where the future will lead me. I love meeting new people, having new experiences, and making new memories. I do my best to show and share that in every piece of material that I write.
