Kimberley is a mother, a nurse, a leader, a manager, an educator, a cook, a writer, a sports enthusiast and not too bad at creativity. It has taken years for her to begin her own movement towards wholeness and understanding, and she is completely delighted that she has survived all of the lessons that have thrown themselves along her path to purpose. She lives on a beautiful island in Western Canada where she spends her time attempting to continue her journey forward. She believes in promoting anything positive, including the accolades of those around her. We are what we create, we create what we are.
What do you read for pleasure?
My life is pretty busy and hectic. I have a young child that is very active with sports and extracurricular activities. I am also pretty engaged in community development and enjoy networking with friends and colleagues. When I am waiting at the pool or the sportsfield I do like to dip in to books that have more of a positive, optimistic feel about how to deal with life challenges. I am very interested in constantly evolving to new ideas and concepts. I am open to exploring themes of time, space, percption, the power of the mind and travel. I really enjoy reading books that explore various cultures around the globe in order to understand better things that might be happening around me.
Describe your desk
My desk is my dining room table at the moment. I need lots of space and usualy am snacking on something while I write so it makes sense to be in a common area with surface area for plates and glasses. My dining table is also a collaborative space for art projects made by small hands as well as lego construcion space. Being surrounded by all kinds of creativity leads to more creativity for me. I also usually have a small pad of paper to jot down ideas as they come and a smartphone for tracking various online networks etc.
Looking at it now, my dining table also currently has 9 home made "light sabers" with varying designs and a small caped superhero riding a motorcycle. Never a dull moment.
