Ann Lee Miller does it again!!! 5 stars for Avra's God!! Avra's God is such an uplifting, inspiring story about college aged students who love and serve God. I love everything about this book! It has devotion, romance, turmoil, skepticism, and happy endings! I love how descriptive Ann Lee Miller is with her writing when describing scenes. I feel like I am right there with the characters sucked into their world and emotions. I fell into every emotional scene in this book because of descriptions like this one... "Kallie tilted her head toward him, looking at him for the first time since the song ended. He took a deep breath and leaned toward her. Kallie’s eyes widened. His fingers tightened on hers. Her lips were soft, motionless under his. He pulled away and grinned, tasting triumph and strawberry. Behind her the ducks splashed through a clumsy takeoff" Avra is the constant, the rock, the level headed in her group of friends. At least that is how they see her. In reality Avra second guesses every decision she makes and is constantly seeking reassurance from God. I love how strong Avra is even when she wants to so badly fall prey to life's curve balls that are thrown her way. Then there is Cisco... Oh Cisco... Heads turn everywhere he goes. He is charismatic, funny, good looking, athletic.. And did I mention he is in a band. A drummer at that!! That is another thing I love about this story. It has a rock band with "good boys." Of course the good boys aren't always good... They have their own demons they are working through. Cisco is no exception. He is the personification of life of the party. Outsiders see him as always playing around, laughing, and seems to excudes confidence... But inside he is a insecure boy who doesn't think he is good enough for anyone. All of these issues stem from his home life and his parents divorce. "No, Avra was class—and she didn’t have a clue. What would it be like to kiss class like that? It had to be different from the girls he usually made out with. He wasn’t stupid. He went after those girls because they dished a whole lot more than kisses." A love story about college kids and rock band mates wouldn't be the same without best friends. Lead singer and preacher's kid Jesse is the true skeptic if the group. He feels like he cannot enjoy his life, play rock and roll, and live the rock god lifestyle if God is in charge of his destiny. His dad has high hopes of him taking after his old man and leading the church one day. Jesse, however has different plans that take him down a different road than his dad planned. Then along comes Kallie. Kallie is every boys' dream but is cold as ice on the inside. So much so she is known as the ice queen and a song is written about her iciness. Behind every bitter female is a story, and Kallie has one of her own. Jesse and Kallie have a love/hate relationship for most part of the book. Will they end up as friends, enemies, or lovers??? That was the question I pondered majority of the story! Life happens, twists and turns pull the young lovers apart and tough decisions must be made. Avra's God has it all!! The characters go from being devoted to each other regardless of what type of relationship they have, being devoted to God, questioning everything from each other to their faith, and a little in between! Readers will fall in love with these characters and will find themselves connecting to one or more of them from time to time in the book. Ann Lee Miller did a spectacular job of capturing that questioning nature that young adults have and touched right down to my heart! “Like your God would care about someone like me. He’d whoop my tail like my old man did.” I love how the author writes a book centered around faith without making it sound higher than thou or preachy. What a way to reach out to a large audience of believers and possibly non-believers! Great job Ann Lee Miller!! Keep these inspiring stories coming ... PLEASE!!!

Wow... I devoured this novella in a couple of hours!! What a fast paced, sex infused, sometimes twisted road I just traveled with the two characters Savanna and Jax. These two are like mixing fire and kerosene and you can't help but want to stay and watch how hot their fire gets when combined! Great job Deliza Rafferty at writing a book that can be read quickly, but contain the story elements of a great novel! I give this novella 4.5 stars!! :) Savanna is trying to make it in the rock and roll world and gets an opportunity to work with a well known record producer. Once there, she has high hopes of this could be her moment to shine. That is until the engineer that will be working with her turns his sexy head her way and she realizes that he is a ghost from her past. How are they supposed to work together when all they want to do is rip each other's heads and clothes off! Jax was a young douche bag his first go around with Savanna. He has heard she has changed, but he is getting some first hand experience with her hell cat reputation. I love how Deliza Rafferty took two explosive personality and slammed them together face first to make for a very intriguing time. This book had many great parts to it. I would have to say my favorite was the sex scene in her house. Jax has basically forced himself on her (even if she is secretly begging or it). She climbs on top of him and is riding him like Paul Revere. Right before he releases, she climbs off and walks away. Needless to say this creates a very explosive and entertaining dialogue between the two of them. Out of all the turmoil, sweaty sex, will they/won't they scenarios that occur in Hound Dog there was one stand out relationship that I adored!!! I LOVE Savannah and Jared's friendship and really hope he appears in the novellas that are to come. Jared is her one true gay as she calls him. He has been her friend since high school and is the one that picks up the pieces when she crumbles. Jared is there waiting on call with a bottle of vodka, some snazzy remarks, and his love-able nickname of "Daddy" for Savannah. I can only hope that Savannah and even Jax find forgiveness for their past behavior and maybe reunite and give us some mentally healthier sex scenes in future stories. ;)

Have you ever read a book that left you so incredibly emotionally raw that it was all you could think about for DAYS after you finished reading it???? That is exactly how Every Rose left me feeling. I only hope that my review gives this book the justice it deserves and can relay the awesomeness that is Lynetta Halat to you! I am still reeling from the emotional roller coaster ride that I was on during this book and I don't know if I want to yell at or hug this author!! Lynetta Halat is an evil genius and her story SUCKED me in from page 1!! Every Rose follows the life of Lorraina and Micheal, neither of whom have had the easiest or most honorable upbringing. Michael was the town's outcast because he was a Native American and Lorraina was an outcast because of her father. Micheal decides at an early age that Lorraina is his future wife and pursues her with no holds barred. Lorraina, however, wants to only be friends and tries to persuade him (and herself) that there isn't anything between them but friendship. She decides that if he can't be friends, then they can't be anything and they part ways. Fast forward to the ripe age of 22. Lorraina is now about to graduate college and has applied to law school. She goes home to visit her family over Christmas Break and runs across a piece of artwork that looks very familiar. It just so happens that the artist is Micheal and Lorriana is hellbent on reconnecting with him to see how he is doing. She finds out that he is playing a show at a local coffee house and plans the reunion. From the first note out of his mouth she is bombarded with memories and Lorraina now has to face the facts that she may have made the biggest mistake of her life by telling him to get lost all of those years ago. Will Micheal still have feelings for her and believe she is his one true love, or has he moved on and dropped that thought like a hot cake? The story of how their reunion goes and what happens next must be read. There is no way I am going to spoil that, nor is there any way that I can write their story and hook you in as well as reading this book for yourself! I give Every Rose a solid 5 stars on the knock my socks off scale!! If my scale went to 10.... this book would get a 20!!! I will warn you, you may want to grab a box of tissues and make sure you have a full day ahead because once you start reading Every Rose... you WILL NOT stop!! I devoured this book in one sitting... forget kids needing to be fed, forget feeding myself! I HAD to know what happens with Lorraina and Micheal and there was NO WAY I could bookmark and come back later! I laughed, cried, laughed some more, and ugly cried... I mean U-G-L-Y cried!!! Face puffy and red, eyes swollen, tissues gone.. ugly cried. This story is so incredibly touching that it has sent me into a book hangover!! Kudos Lynetta Halat... you definitely have a permanent fan at R is my TO!!!

Faded picks up right where Jaded left off. Scarlett has left her hideaway in Florida and has discovered she will never have a "normal" life. She is heartbroken over leaving, but has convinced herself that she doesn't want her fame to ruin the ones she loves the most. Scarlett is about to make some big changes in her life and she is going to need the support of the ones she loves. Scarlett is convinced to return to Hope, Florida when she realizes that she cannot live without the ones she left behind. She has also made a big decision to start making her own music, and not the bubblegum pop her record company has been forcing her to do. Which will require her to fire her own father as her manager. On top of that her best friend and fellow rock star, Alec Torch, has convinced her to record a documentary and she has cameras literally everywhere!! How does a 19 year old juggle high school, a massive blow up with both of her parents, venturing out on her own in her music career, and falling in love?? I give Faded 5 stars on the knock my socks off scale. I thought that Mercy Amare did a fantabulous job at picking up where book 1 left off and adding so many events without rushing through the story. I felt my connection to the characters deepen and fell even more in love with Scarlett and Stephan, but also the entire cast... minus Mona. LOL

Oh.... My.... Goodness!!!!! I could not put this book down!!! I literally read this book in a few hours, because I was so intrigued by the story line and had to figure out what happened to Brylee and her friends!! The Brown House has teen love, suspense, and had me questioning the dark! Brylee's parents move her from sunny California to New Jersey. She is trying to adapt to a new place, make new friends, and deal with some interesting events taking place in her new home. She quickly learns that the people that live in her new town believe her house to be haunted and that the ghosts have run all of the other buyers away! Brylee makes it her mission to solve the riddle of are there really ghosts in her home or is the house just old and creepy. She soon makes new friends, falls in love, and has the adventure of a lifetime while trying to uncover the secrets of the Brown house. I give The Brown House 4 stars on the knock my socks off scale! I devoured this book, could not put it down, and scared myself thinking I was hearing noises in my own house! I cannot wait for The Crimson Key to see where the secrets of the Brown house take Brylee, Ephraim, and Lyn!!
