Tom Norato

Tom Norato began his career on an Air Force–base flight line in 1971, loading both people and cargo onto airplanes bound for destinations around the globe. He soon transitioned from loading aircraft to safely guiding them. His assignments have spanned the gamut from front-line air traffic controller, through the management tiers, to the directorate level of air traffic controller training, as well as training-systems research and development for the United States Air Force and the Federal Aviation Administration in Washington, DC. A graduate of the University of Southern Maine, he enjoys traveling, photography, writing, and offering his wife and sisters advice at the drop of a hat. He is never without a hat. "Every Picture Tells a Story" is his debut work.
