My friend let me borrow his copy of the originally printed book that he bought at work from the author. I devoured it in 3 days. I couldn't stop reading! I didn't just need to know what came next, I had to know. And let me tell you, I thought every single chapter, every single twist and turn was genius. Then there was the artwork on every single chapter and the dust cover jacket, oh my god! Are you kidding me. Each piece of artwork was clearly inspired by the story and the illustrator worked with something akin to magic to put them on paper. This is a story that comes to life in your head, in your heart and in your life. I've never read a more personally inspirational story, and yet the story doesn't seem to have been crafted for this purpose at all. When people ask me what it was about I tell them it was about growing up, about taking chances, about shouldering a burden that's too heavy to lift and carrying it for miles. It's about deciding who you really are and what you're really made of and just how far those gifts will take you. it's about magic and love and friendship and everything that's possible. I tell them it's a story about all of us which means it's about you too. Most of the time I just tell them to read it and then they can tell me what it was about. THIS BOOK MUST BE MADE INTO A MOVIE!! I can't wait to see how it ends in book 2....you have to write book 2! Thank you so much for writing such a fantastic novel. I am in your debt for just having read it!
