Smashwords Interview

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in Patantshwane, a village in Sekhukhune District at Eenzaam circuit in Limpopo province. Finding myself growing within such a village influenced and motivated me to do something which most of the people in the community still find it hard to believe it could be achieved or done by any person from the same community. Conversely, people used to believe that one can merely be a great author or an outspoken poet only if they are from privileged backgrounds or are from private schools and staying at well developed places than ours. That was then something I considered to be wrong and discouraging. Therefore, I decided to use my given talent to awake the spirits and bring to life the dead and neglected talents of those undermining themselves. And to further prove out of my capabilities that everything and anything is possible as long a person has passion and is determined and most of all committed to what they are doing and wants to achieve.
When did you first start writing?
I commenced writing in 2014 when I was doing grade 11.
