Biography

I am a former primary teacher and principal, landscape designer and gardener and now a full time author living in Gippsland in the state of Victoria in Australia. Although I write mainly fictional novels, I regularly contribute to political blogs and have letters regularly published in local and Victorian newspapers. I write parodies of songs and am in the process of writing music for the large number of poems that I have written.

Between The Wars
Mary Evans grew up between World War 1 and World War 2. This three part series describes her changes and feelings as she changed from a child to a young woman. Set in the background of Melbourne, Australia, her life changes dramatically from living homeless in the the backstreets of North Melbourne to attending a private school and living in the well-to-do suburb of Hawthorn. All through the events that took place in Melbourne including the rise of the horse Phar Lap as a national hero, the great Depression and the changes in culture of Melbourne, she never forgot her roots. Follow her on her journey.
