Lea Zalas

Biography

I have been lucky enough to have had many adventures. In the mid-70s, I traveled up and down the east coast by bus. In the late 70s and all through the 80s and 90s, I was lucky enough to experience the kind of joy that only my three sons could have brought into my life. I have been a secretary, a waitress, an over-the-road truck driver, a heavy-duty construction driver, a real estate broker, and now a writer. For some of us, not adhering to a set life plan is the best thing we can do for ourselves. I certainly wouldn't have experienced all that I have if I had followed my first, and the safest, career inclination of becoming an architect.
