Domestic abuse is heartbreaking and often misunderstood by society because they don't understand why a victim stays with their abuser. Lynne Farley wrote from her own personal experience in hopes of bringing awareness to the lies, manipulation and control that forces the abused victim to believe they aren't worthy of a better life. When you read Torn Between Two Worlds (A Mother's Love), you will be able to comprehend the impact abuse makes on victims and their children. We need to work together to help these victims become survivors before it's too late.
What inspired you to write your book?
I wrote Torn Between Two Worlds (A Mother's Love) because I felt in my heart that I needed to help other abused victims and their children. Even though it was very had for me to go back to a time that I've tried very hard to forget, I hope victims will realize the impact abuse is making on their life and their future.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I enjoy cooking but mostly I love to spend time with my children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Life is so precious!
In this memoir, Lynne shares her personal story of abuse, and its effect on her, her children, and her family. She wants people to understand how she was caught between the normal world she grew up in and the abusive world she innocently enters into.
