Carole Weave-Lane

Biography

Carole Weave-Lane has been a teacher most of her life and has always been fascinated in the realm of the imagination. From a small child she devoured books and in particular Enid Blyton who loved to create adventures in mysterious places. From here the reading list widened and so to her interests. In particular Past Lives, Ancient History, mythology, song, poetry, philosophy, the old relgiions and the fey. The realms of Arthur, Merlin and Camelot took her to 'unimagined and imagined , places' and so too she had to travel to see and relive these times. Along the way, the imagined world became one with the written word which in turn led to writing stories as did her mother before her. Incorportated in these stories is the realm of the psychic and the supernatural, and as she also found a niche in this world and worked and taught in these areas too.
She has published one book named "The Hidden Parchment' and 'Enter the Fey' will follow this year. She has also had two stories incorporated with other writers in the newly published "Twisted Tales compiled by Phoenix Johnson.
Carole, lives very close to nature on a quarter acre and is close to the River. In this environment she is able to dream, play the piano, and write. She had one cat named Dumbledore, and a chook and plenty of wild birds to keep her company.
Carole feels that a lot of her work is due to the help of the librarians, particularly Bassendean Library, who hunt out books for her to be able to research. Often she spends time there with her laptop, so her books are really Library books and should be kept in a library bag.
Carole intends to continue writing along the themes that interest her and dabble in The Hidden Realms.
