My name is Wendy Glidden. I am a mother to five girls and four boys. I was married the first time before my seventeenth birthday. While all I ever wanted to do was help the lost and lonely, the dark and depressed, the downtrodden and hopeless, I found myself living a life I never thought would be mine. As I rounded the corner to my forties I truly believed I would never become what I had wanted to be.
You just never know what doors God will open when you invite Him to have His way in your life! My bio can be read in depth through my books. The first life story volume has already been published and volume II is right behind!
I pray that those who read my story are truly lifted up. May my words bring you hope. May they shine a light into every dark crevice that may exist.
What is your writing process?
Often I see or hear a chapter title and I type it in and just allow the words to flow out of my fingertips. When I have not heard or seen a topic to write on, I sometimes just sit down and begin typing what first comes to my head. It seems to me that I type like I think and talk.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
This is not the first story I ever read but it was one that left an impression on me. I was subscribed to Reader's Digest for my tenth birthday gift and I read this story about a principal that had run an experiment at his school. The gist of the story was this: He took the records of the worst students and rewrote their educational history and placed them in a class for achievers. The teacher believed she had the best students when in reality she did not. However, these same students who had been labeled as problematic and not worth much effort, became the students their folders claimed they were. I was blown away. The proof was in the pudding. All that a child truly needed to change their lives was positive encouragement and belief from their superiors.
A True Life Story that is guaranteed to open your eyes to blessings in your own life. Described as a story inspiring both hope and perseverance, this is a must read for anyone struggling with the big questions: Is God real? Does He hear me? What is my purpose?
This is a collection of true life stories that all took place in my life. Some of them involve answered prayers, some of them involve angels that help me with something, some of them are signs so big I considered them billboards, and some involve wonders that leave you in awe of God and His ways. It is my hope in reading each account you find your own faith strengthened.
This is the second volume in my life series. It takes you from age 17 to 23. To give you a general idea of what stories I share in this book, I will confide I originally referred to them as my dark ages. I am not proud of many things I did of my own accord but I did them. Your story is your story. God called me forth to tell it like it happened. It is in doing so that His glory shines through.
This is the first volume of my life story. You would not think a lot could happen to a girl in a mere 16 years, but that is where you would be wrong! From thinking God was my best friend as a child to thinking I could outsmart Him as a young teen, this story has trials and tribulations that have left my sample audience clamoring for more! In the midst of it all you will see what I was shown!
