Dirt Cheap Photo Guide to Grand Teton National Park
on July 14, 2011
I met Jeff through Flickr and Texas Photo Forum (now Pixtus) and hit it off with him immediately. Fortunately, I had the pleasure of accompanying him on each tour he has had so far to the Tetons and each of them has been unique and filled with information about the area and the history of it.
Even though I had been there several times and knew Jeff personally, I purchased his book anyway. Sure, I may have gone to most of the places in his book but there were many many little nuggets of information that I either missed or was too busy to hear while I was being blown away by the beauty of the area.
Here's the real reason to buy this book... it keeps you from wasting your time! If you go to Jackson Hole, rent a car, and venture out on your own, you'll be able to hit some sights and maybe even see some wildlife if you're lucky. But you'll barely be able to come across 10% of what is in Jeff's book. It's a total time saver and what's $10?!!! You can't even get a bison burger at Dornan's for $10... what's Dornan's?... oh, it's in the book. If you want to do it all own your own and want to waste your time... then this book isn't for you. If you want to maximize your time and know exactly where to go and when to go there to get the best images possible, this book is exactly what you need! You're wasting time still reading this review... just buy the book already!
