P. A. Wilson

Biography

Perry Wilson is a Canadian author based in Vancouver, BC who has big ideas and an itch to tell stories. Having spent some time on university, a career, and life in general, she returned to writing three years ago and hasn't looked back since (well, maybe a little, but only while parallel parking).

She also writes the Charity Deacon mystery thrillers, and the Madeline Journeys, a high fantasy series.

Smashwords Interview

When did you first start writing?
I wrote a few stories as a kid, but I started trying to write a whole book - a daunting enterprise - in my mid thirties. I managed to write the entire story, but it wasn't great. Then I put writing aside while I created my career, got a degree, and became a professional project manager. 2008 was the year everything changed. I found National Novel Writing Month and found a novel in the process. After that I wrote seriously and managed to get 13 books out and I'm still going.
What's the story behind your latest book?
I just finished the first draft of the final story in both series. The most interesting story, to me, is the final book in The Madeline Journeys. The first book in the series, Off Track, was really a standalone story. When a reader asked me when she could expect the next book in Madeline's story, I was flummoxed. Then I reread it. In that book I'd planted the seeds for a four book series.

an interesting mystery. I found myself trying to guess not only who did the main mystery, but also who the main characters were. A complex and well written story.

Wow, a well paced story, great characters and high tension ending. I was drawn in from the first chapter and given a whole bunch of mysteries to figure out.
