    What a great premise! The idea of this story – an indie writer getting revenge on all the people who do NOT buy his book – is some kind of genius. Surely that idea has floated just out of reach of the conscious mind of many indie writers . . . but Matheson was clever enough to grab it! This is a not-so-short short story, and it works pretty well as that. He uses a couple of notably effective images, too, so the writing is entertaining. The pacing is fast, so the author probably uses a similar style to good effect in his action novel, which is now on my reading list.
