God's ways aren’t “curing” gays, so a fanatical religious group recruits an ambitious medical researcher, and then murders gay men for test subjects in order to isolate a “gay gene.” A detective (who is gay) investigates the disappearances. The intersecting story lines reveal the underside of ambition burdened by the past and its effect on those we love when we are too afraid to face who we are.
