Biography

I was born and raised in New Jersey, grew up in a small 1 square mile town of 5000 people, joined the Air Force in 1971 at the age of 18. I have a vast and diversified professional background, ranging from being the Director of law and Public safety for a state university teaching hospital, an entrepreneur, having owned a small restaurant for 7 yrs, sold cars, was a sales and a finance manager and finally worked as a Regional Vice President of a mid sized consumer finance company where I managed a portfolio in excess of $20 million.

Describe your desk
My desk is a combination of piles of papers, from bills, notes I have written myself, check books, and mail I will sort through and file some and toss some every few months
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in the small town of South Bound Brook, New Jersey. This little one square mile town of 5000 people was the classic middle class neighborhood. It had an interesting mixture of people of different races and cultures and this I have learned helped me to better understand the differences we all enjoy and it shows in how I write about people
