Kye-Keyann Bates (1994-present) was born in Dover, Delaware, raised in Milton, Florida and then later in Kansas City, Missouri. He had written books throughout the years as he grew up, but did not publish his first until shortly after he turned twenty and earned an Associate's degree in education.

Class B Angel is about a boy, Asanté, who's friend, Reagan, is kidnapped while he is powerless to stop it. Trying to save his friend, he dies and becomes a half angel. Though he wishes to find his friend, he must also take on the responsibility of being a Class B Angel as well as still living his human life, but mysterious voices, demons, betrayal and the possibility of war complicate matters.
