Yelena Franklin


Yelena Franklin was born in Zagreb in former Yugoslavia.Before marrying an American and settling in the US, she lived in Burma, Japan and France. She currently lives in Charlotte, NC.
Her first novel, A Bowl of Sour Cherries,was published by White Pine Press in 1999, with grants from The National Endowment for the Arts and The New York Council for the Arts. A mystery novel, titled Second Hand Murder, was publilshed in 2002. She first published her third novel, Piranha Times in 2008.
