Fascinating imagery. A limirk this is not, but sweet dark bluesy vocals to ride a jazz line in a smoky Paris club dripping with noir gone modern.

Chantale Reve leaves me with "With ribbons of verbs rippling through my mind", her love/erotic verses are sublime, her words conceal and reveal like blowing gauze curtains in the mind mist.

I read Science Fiction like sex addicts read/watch porn; but this is the first time I've ever written a review, but I just had to. This is such an engrossing and entertaining tale, and I thought I would be put off by the anthromorphing of cats and dogs as just too cutesy or too humanized, although they are very anthromorphed and humanized the feline and canine elements are still there in a perfect mix and with the explanation that they are two of the species "uplifted" by a now departed humanity one sees how they've adopted the niche left by departed and become human like. But it's not about being estraz humans but how two "people" from separate species live and love and eventually with the help of science change the world. A beautiful story from an unconventional angle. .
