Wendy Shattil


Wendy Shattil is the rarest of species— a full-time professional nature photographer. She teamed with late husband, Bob Rozinski for more than 30 years and continues to publish award-winning images worldwide. Wendy and Bob's reputations as environmental photographers led to producing prize winning, sensitive interpretations of wildlife and its environment throughout North America. Well known for creating images with provocative light, mood and humor, Wendy links this talent with vast knowledge of the natural world and enthusiasm for sharing it. Wendy was the first woman awarded the Grand Prize in the prestigious worldwide BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition. She is recipient of the Philip Hyde Grant for environmental photography and Denver Audubon’s Environmental Stewardship Award. Wendy is also a Senior Fellow in the International League of Conservation Photographers, Department Associate for the Denver Museum of Nature & Science and has twice been Artist in Residence at Rocky Mountain National Park. Wendy and Bob produced fifteen books and their images have appeared in hundreds of publications worldwide.
