As a child, Addison was kidnapped by the dreaded McGees, a duo of bandits looking for a slice of the good life. Perhaps their monikers - Fluffy Pants and Kitten Face - sounded harmless, but let me tell you: the McGees were always up to trouble, looking to steal bread from shelves, pies from windows, and sneaking through any door half-shut. Unfortunately, Addison was the wrong child for riches, so they were in a fix.
A duo is better than a trio, but they figured a human would be useful in some manner, so they let Addison stay in their basement haunt and attempted to impart the trade. It didn't take. In part, because they couldn't speak human English terribly well. In fact, it was very confusing for everyone involved. It was only recently that she escaped the McGees and began a life on the run. It's only a matter of time, though, before the McGees catch up. It's always just a matter of time. Maybe only until tomorrow's breakfast...
Okay, so maybe it wasn't quite like that. In reality, Addison Lane was born and raised between a small town in the Deep South and the big city. She went to university in New England, majoring in Asian Studies. Fresh-faced and ambitious, she left college to teach English in Japan for a year. Following this, she attended the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne, Australia before returning to the States. She now resides on the East Coast where she works as a web developer by day and saves the world via fantasy by night. Hanging Flynn is her first (publish-able) novel.
