This is a very well worked book. There are lots of characters but it does not become confusing.
It is Christmas and all the O’Byrne family are invited back to the very large magical family home for the 12 days of christmas.
There are two unexpected guests who end up being extremely useful.
I loved “Tickle”, the Guardian of the parlour.
The plot is busy but not jumbled, it keeps your interest all the way through. There is magic and relationships, love and conflict, a quest and a mission. There are characters which are cute, strong, loveable, and some that are not very nice – just as there would be in a normal large family gathering.
I loved this book.
