Mother of one beautiful 13 year old. Wife of 1 amazing Christian man. I have three Goddaughters, one who lives with me.
I went to the University of Michigan to study the inner workings of the cell (Cellular Molecular Biology ) until my inner cellular workings went rogue on me. Then I went from a city girl working in Downtown Indianapolis to a Goat/Chicken/Horse/Llama Farmer living in rural Northern Michigan after being diagnosed with Lupus in 2004.
I am currently working on M DIV at Liberty University, studying to become a Pastoral Counselor/Chaplain while fighting this disease. I'm hoping to spend more timie outside the hospital bed than in it. I have been on chemo the last 10 months and I am incredibly grateful for a supportive family, friends, and community.
I have been very blessed to have ended up on a road very different than the one I had planned, but has been an exciting and wonderful adventure.
God's sense of humor never ceases to crack me up.
No More Animals is a book that came from the adventure we started after we bought the house that we currently live in. As Mark Twain said
"Truth is stranger than fiction, but it is because Fiction is obliged to stick to possibilities; Truth isn't."
