I am a Los Angeles based Science-Fiction writer. I studied Anthropology at Community College before deciding to pursue writing rather than furthering my academic career. I also enjoy drawing and other forms of art.
I have a twin sister who edits my works and bakes yummy treats. I never considered myself a writer until the 9th grade when my English teacher told me I should go out for the Honors program. Since then I have used writing as an outlet for my dreams, frustrations and to try and understand the world around me.
I hope you read and enjoy my novellas.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
Well, my favorite book is EAST OF EDEN by John Steinbeck. I've always been a fan of his work, but this one is my all-time favorite book because it's the most moving thing I've ever seen, heard or read. It's explores the dichotomy of good and evil through a retelling of Cain and Abel. It's all about what it is to make mistakes and how often times the greatest gift anyone can offer is understanding and forgiveness.
My other favorites include PRIDE AND PREJUDICE by Jane Austen, JANE EYRE by Charlotte Bronte, and THE LONG GOODBYE by Raymond Chandler- I have read all of his books and it was difficult to pick a favorite. Philip Marlowe is the epitome of Noir/Mystery characters.Technically it's a play, but MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING by William Shakespeare is always a fun read.
What do you read for pleasure?
I tend to favor 18th century English authors like Charles Dickens and Jules Verne, but I do enjoy the occasional chick lit like Sophie Kinsella or Alisa Kwitney. I also love light, fun reads like Rick Riordan.
