Joann Larson was born and raised in the midwest. She has been married for over forty years and is the mother of four grown children, currently the grandmother of six. She homeschooled her children for over twenty years and was a medical transcriptionist for nearly thirty.

Though Joann actually developed her love for writing in high school, marriage and family have kept her too busy to accomplish any serious writing until recently. As a first-time author, Joann was inspired to write A Higher AIM mainly because of the current economic and spiritual climate witnessed in America.
