Alan Biggs

Biography

Alan Biggs is a freelance journalist and broadcaster who has worked across a wide range of media organisations. From a background in provincial newspapers and local radio, Biggs has broadcast nationally as a match reporter for the BBC since 1989 and written for many national newspapers, including the Daily Express and Daily Mail. He also has experience in covering cricket, athletics, boxing, speedway. . . and netball, having been Sky’s commentator on the sport for the opening seasons of the netball superleague.
Alan is married with three children and has hobbies including running—as a regular half-marathon competitor—and piano playing (mercifully only for his own amusement!) More seriously, he is currently working on other book projects. Less seriously, he has been dragged kicking and screaming into the Twittersphere! You can follow his ramblings on @AlanBiggs1
