M K Bates

Biography

M. K. Bates was born in London, where he still lives. After reading psychology at university, he embarked on a world wide quest for the meaning of life, during which time he studied and worked with some of the greatest sages and thinkers of our time. He abandoned the search after 10 years, in order to start work as an accountant and raise a family. But whatever else he was doing, he always wrote, an eclectic mix of humour, spiritual insights, romance, sex and gangsters, all with the primary purpose of entertaining the reader. After many short stories, poems and articles, The Little Girl of the Favela is his first full-length book. He is currently working on the sequel, set four years later.
