The Man In The Room
by L Violo
A boy, not quite a man. Stunning eyes, but with a darkness of all that was, what will never be. The Man in the Room walks beside him as he leaves me that day. I see him rest his arm gently on his shoulders, as they walk the pathway to the place that he chose over treatment. I see him whisper, "Come with me. She doesn't understand. I know you." He finds comfort with the darkness now.
