I stumbled upon Roots: Stand Up for the Artist Within while looking for books related to photography and the blurb intrigued me greatly.
I've never written a book review in my life and after reading it I felt that I could show my appreciation by writing some words in it's favor.
It has a strong positive stance which I found uplifting as the author invites you into his world with it's struggles and successes.
It discusses sources of inspiration, getting your ideas / creations / works out there, decision and doubt, authenticity and vision among many other topics.
I recommend this book to all practicing artists; those who are comfortable in their position, those that need a gentle push and those who need total reevaluation.
It's short, sharp and left me feeling as everything is going to be great; with a bit of VISION I'll be closer to understanding where I'm going and what I'm doing and for whom.
First book review down; Thanks James Hegarty.
