Andrew J. West, originally from Sydney where he studied writing at University of Western Sydney, moved to Bangkok 15 years ago and soon established himself as an art critic for several publications, notably Bangkok Post, culminating in the authoring of Destiny to Imagination: Prateep Kochabua (2013) and Thai Neotraditional Art (2015), as well as hanging his solo art exhibition, Three Worlds, at the prestigious Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC) in 2014. Andrew is fascinated by Thai culture, especially its mythological and folkloric underpinnings, which provides much of the cultural material about which he writes fiction, as well as being a history buff. He lives with his Thai wife and son and when not writing enjoys Bangkok’s art scene, its street food, and listening to the blues.
Andrew J. West is author of the Time Beings trilogy (2017-18) and has written extensively for Bangkok Post as well as authoring Thai Neotraditional Art (2015) and Destiny to Imagination: Prateep Kochabua (2013).
