So, apparently this is the bit where I talk about me and my writing...how do I do this? First person? Third person?
Pay someone to do it in the hope that they will be funnier and more creative?
First person I think - third is a bit pretentious, and I'm keen to avoid that.
I was born in 1972 in Leicester, but didn't hang around long before heading off to the Isle of Wight, where, despite the odd foray to the "mainland", I stayed until I was 16. After that, it was over to Portsmouth, where - again, apart from brief journeys to other places such as the gorgeous Worcester and the breathtaking Wales - I've been ever since.
I've always adored reading - even as a child, I had my head buried in books. When I wasn't reading, I was messing about with computers, which has always been another passion of mine. I also started to write and create my own "picture" books, but they never got finished because when the time came to add the art, because I couldn't actually draw!
I love books, plain and simple. Any genre, any size, any author - if it's well written and entertaining, I will happily sit and allow myself to be embraced by crime, thriller, horror, romance, sci-fi...and, of course, my favourite genre of all - fantasy.
My first book, The Price of Paradise, is available for e-download as we speak, and it's a "dark" fantasy tale, with contemporary themes in an otherwordly setting. I'm hoping that other people will find it just as entertaining and enjoyable to read as it was to write.
