Angee Taylor

I was born in Houston, Texas in 1977, to a interesting family. My mother and father separated. I lived with my mother who later remarried to a wonderful man. We moved around a lot until we settled down in Deep East Texas. I married at a young age had my son two years later, my marriage was rocky. I later got divorced and have been raising my son as a single mom ever. I work full time as a nurse in a nontraditional setting, I see things most people can't imagine and will never see in their lives. I fight to save peoples lives, sometimes I lose sometimes I win. It is the emotional roller coaster of that job that led me to writing. I am able to put those emotions into my characters and let them out of my heart and soul.

In 2006 I was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease, I have fought to live a normal life every day since. I am beating the odds when it comes to that disease. In 2013 I suddenly lost the use of my arm and was having extreme pain. I spent a week in the hospital before I was diagnosed with another rare disease that is part of the nervous system. Once again I am beating the odds I have regained the use of my arm and have gotten the pain under control. I am back at work as a nurse. Have no fear I will continue to write.

Smashwords Interview

What is your e-reading device of choice?
I prefer my iPad mini. I have the Kindle, nook and Ibooks apps on it. I don't have a preference between apps though. Just where ever I find the book at.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
Wow I grew up initially in Houston until I was seven. Then my mom got with my step-dad and we moved around a lot. Mostly all over Texas and Louisiana for a few years before landing back in Houston. Several years later they took me from big city life to super small town. I graduated H.S. from there- had a graduating class of forty-two (told ya it was small.) I moved to a slight bigger town a few miles away when I got married only later to move back once I divorced. Later I moved to Fort Worth after living there for less than two years I moved to a town just North of Waco, TX. It made the new recently-West, Tx. Remember the fertilizer plant explosion in April 2013. Yep that's where I live.

I think that the moving around exposed me to so many different people and personalities that it enables me to bring a character to life with a great personality.
