About the Author

Pearl writes for the love of words and often compares herself to a ballerina performing in an empty theater. Reader reviews are the sound of the distant audience. Applause and cheers are appreciated immensely. An unfortunate comment will lower her spirits for a while, but a great review is like a bouquet of roses thrown onto the stage. The beauty of an appreciative comment can uplift and sustain for weeks.

Flitting between genres ensures Pearl's stories are always fresh and exciting. She has a wide-ranging and eclectic author list from chick lit, historical romance, to science fiction and the paranormal.

Pearl has enjoyed success, in the past, with short story fiction, winning some national competitions. Her articles and stories have been published in popular magazines, both fiction and non-fiction, but in recent years, she has concentrated on novels and now enjoys a growing fanbase.

Describe your desk

My desk is always littered with scribbled notes and used coffee cups.

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?

I was raised in a small Yorkshire town in the UK. My home town has a strong industrial heritage but a few minutes away from the densly populated areas are the wide skies and rolling green hills that Yorkshire is famous for.

I've lived in many places, including Belgium, Germany, and the South of England. I've visited many countries, from Australia to America and Canada, but I wouldn't live anywhere else. Yorkshire is such a beautiful place.

I love to write about the area and Yorkshire features strongly in many of my books.
