Since she was a young girl, Anita Capri was told that she had a knack for storytelling and always aspired to writing a novel. THE SHOPPING CART PEOPLE has been a labor of love for her, but also a constant reminder about what is most important in life.
Anita has been a lifelong fan of the Arts and languages. At university, she studied History, English and French. In her third year, she had the opportunity to study abroad in the south of France and jumped at the chance. Living in France and traveling throughout Europe, Anita gained a profound appreciation of European culture and its people, some of which is reflected in her book.
Anita lives in the greater Toronto area with her husband, two teenage boys and two cats. She has been an elementary school teacher for over 20 years and believes that inspiring young people is the most important thing that any educator can do. Besides her passion for the pen, she enjoys music, movies, board games, and a great book in which she can become lost.
