Life in the Rocky Mountains is an adventure everyday. My three daughters have inspired me to follow my dreams and create my reality. In so doing, I have allowed my creativity to lead me on a journey of self exploration. I have explored Native American beliefs and animal symbolism after nose to nose encounters with wild Bull Elk on Old Man Mountain. Opportunities to cross paths with bobcats, cougar, eagles, wolverines, bears, beavers and wapiti have opened the door to healing, hope, vision and guidance for me.
Living in a small cabin in the mountains, heated with a wood stove, growing veggies and fruit, recycling more than I trash, upcycling instead of consuming and creating a life I have dreamed of while braking a cycle of violence, abuse and financial struggle.
When an 18 month old horse busted into my life, he forever changed my future. He arrived full of spit and fury, having received a trauma to his neck that caused many residual injuries. It is believed that those who walk with the horse spirit are independent leaders who forge new paths of awareness, using freedom and power to overcome obstacles while exploring a new spiritual awareness. Working with a non communicative 1000 pound animal, trying to convince him to stretch and accomplish what I know is healing for him creates many humorous situations. Sparks often fly as I walk this path with my first horse.
Join me as I share my adventures with you...
