The Kid-Gardener’s Planting Book for Parents
on Dec. 30, 2014
The multitude of gardening this book covers is amazing. I would highly recommend it to anyone who has or knows a child intrigued by the outside world, or in need of becoming closer to it. Not only does it provide beautiful pictures for kids to see a variety of flowers, but this book also offers a thorough introduction to various garden types, how insects are helpful to the plant world, basic gardening tools needed, and even a section on how to create accessible spaces for children with disabilities. It can also be used as a teaching tool for children to learn the scientific name of certain plants. I greatly enjoyed the portion of this book that focused on how gardens not only provide a visual sensation, but there are also sounds, smells, and textures in a garden as well. This book is a short and very concise work that is perfect for little gardeners of all ages.
