Nomads of the Gods

This story moves along well enough, even if the outcomes and the characters are pretty predictable. However, this is very difficult to read in places due to the many errors in spelling and grammar. The author does not know how to use commas or apostrophes in English. I good proofread would have helped.

OK. I just gave up after 75 pages. Although the spelling errors are not as frequent and comical as the first book, the misuse of commas and numerous sentence fragments make this very difficult to read.
The James Charade

The con in the story is interesting enough, but the characters are a bit wooden, or even comical. It's meant to be set in Chicago, but it reeks of a Winnetka mentality. The only Chicago settings are the places those from the North Shore are likely to visit, namely the Magnificent Mile. The misspelling of Silicon Valley as "Silicone Valley" produced a regular chuckle.

This may be the best book that I've read from Smashwords. It is well written with a story line that keeps one's interest. Superior science fiction.
Slave Empire - The Crystal Ship

A good follow up from the first book. I was a bit put off by the fuzzy non-narrative when the crystal ship was introduced, but all in all a good read. I'm buying the next one.
WWIV - In The Beginning

This is one of the better Smashwords books that I have read. The plot keeps you reading, with decent character development as well. My only complaint is the persistent suburban mindset of trying to escape from the "bad element" of the city. Overall a good read, though.
The Island - Part 1

This was hard to put down. The character development is wonderful, leading to a wonderful plot. I've read the first three, and will finish them all. Well done.

I enjoyed this short book very much.
