James Knox


Jim Knox was born in WV in 1938. Tug River Murder is his first book and incorporates many of the tales his Canadian father told of adventures and experiences both in Canada and in adjusting to life in WV in the 1930's.

This is a fictional murder mystery set in 1897 at the site of the Hatfield & McCoy feud. Deputy Sheriff Richard James, a Canadian, finds himself having to juggle cultural differences, grief over the recent loss of his wife and son, and a murder investigation, after a McCoy is found dead from a snakebite. The death threatens to reignite the Hatfield/McCoy feud as Richard struggles to solve it.
