Arthur Toms lives with his wife Christine, a prolific writer, and two dogs and two cats in Tokomaru, New Zealand.
Like most people with grey hair, he's done a reasonable amount of varied living; before retiring he had been a lecturer in Information Technology, a broadcaster and a music retailer.
His hobbies and interests include acting, making acoustic music - he has a moderate-sized collection of guitars including two Martins, a Fylde and a Fender electric - and model railways.
In New Zealand’s South Island, Roger Armitage’s territory includes the incredible Southern Alps, and the wilds of the West Coast. Investigating thefts in an almost crime-free society nearly costs him his life, as he and his warm and loving partner Lesley encounter dodgy cops, armed religious fundamentalists and animal pest control fanatics.
