Dani Graves

Biography

Currently I'm a wife, mother and about to be grandmother. I live on a farm in rural Washington State with my hubby, two dogs, two cats, a flock of chickens and sometimes a few pigs. I write every day, sometimes at odd hours and I read every night, sometimes until very late. But as a kid with Dyslexia, learning to read was a painfully slow process and trying to write anything of value was a joke. However, with lots of practice and a little help I developed a voracious appetite for reading and with more than ‘a lot’ of effort I can now write creatively.

With my creative heart and intellectual background, writing has become a favorite outlet. I like creating characters that are lovable, flawed and diverse. My settings are ones I can see myself in. And, my relationships are significant, entertaining, meaningful, and above all really hot and sexy.

As the self-defined brat and black sheep in my family, I developed a fascination for all things risqué at a young age. Social taboos such as BDSM, Motorcycles, Social Clubs and Alternative religions are a few of my cultural fascinations. I'm continually intrigued by what motivates of people who pursue them and what needs they fill in someone’s life.

So now I create stories about life, good and bad, about love, hot and sexy and about the pursuit of individual happiness, whatever that maybe. But by far my deepest motivation is providing a little bit of fantasy, a little bit of entertainment and a great escape to the readers.
